Entry Seven

The worst part of my African experience now awaits me. Bintou and I must part -- temporarily we both hope--and I dread the final moments here. To say we will miss each other is to say the ocean has water. I stop. I do not want to think more of this as I write my last words to you from Afrique.

Words can't describe it, although I have tried. Thanks to all of you, we both read and loved all your emails. I'm certain my Bintou would love hearing from you all in the future.

A long punishing trip will bring me home, but I leave my heart behind here.

Love from the Dark Continent which has been the ray of light in my own darkness.
